MMH Portfolio Showcase:

Equestrian Home in Kansas City

Equestrians at heart, and home.

This extraordinary equestrian estate and custom home build in Miami County Kansas, enhances the daily routine and comfort of its owners who live and breathe the equestrian lifestyle. It features a spacious kitchen and open living area with high-end amenities. The goal was to create a space where beauty and function as well as hard work and celebration could all intertwine.

This project combines luxurious country living with a harmonious blend of functionality, aesthetics and comfort for both the residents and their horses.

Project challenges:

The homeowners’ site already housed a barn with contemporary living quarters. The owners’ main residence needed to be located with good access to the barn as well as unobstructed views to the main pond and pastures.

Project solutions:

For this specialty project, MMH knew that partnering with the right architectural firm was imperative for the success of this custom home. Once that decision was made, together we asked copious questions designed to extract every hope and idea from the clients before construction began.

The Outcome.

The estate is located on a picturesque 1,000-acre+ parcel of land, offering expansive views, privacy and ample space for various equestrian activities. The space beckons both indoor and outdoor living at its finest.

The floorplan.

The home depicts a sophisticated and well-designed floor plan with four distinct wings serving different functions and a central area which serves as the main living space. The inclusion of clerestory windows in the great room truly emphasizes natural light and open, airy spaces.
